Jon Gill launches FREAK, a monthly electro/house party along with residents, DJ Deadboy and Wally C. It comes as no surprise with Gill's alternative background in Club Motion ('91-'94, Wilmington,DE.) and now Nocturne ('99-present, Phila,PA.) that he would eventually develop a party with a style of music that combines the grittiness of punk attitude and the dance floor friendliness of house. With artists like Mylo, Fischerspooner, Ladytron, The Killers, and Peaches in regular rotation, FREAK reaches it's fullest eclecticism when everything from classic industrial and new wave to the driving sounds of acid and tech-house make their way out on to the dance floor.
